Hey Scott,
Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that I
took the Trans Am out for its first track day last week at
VIR. It was an absolute blast! By the far the biggest reason
was the new brakes! I ran seven 30 minutes segments over the
course of the day on the grand course, which is 16 turns &
3.27 miles long. The front and back straight both required
slowing from 130+ mph down to around 40mph. The C5 brakes
were there every time I hit the pedal, all day long. Not
even at the end of the segment did I even feel a hint of
fade. Each segment I got a little bolder, and dove in
deeper, and every time the brakes hauled it down and asked
for more, no matter how hard I beat on them. By the middle
of the day I was braking as late as any of the Porsches or
Vettes that were out there. They are by far the best & most
cost effective upgrade I've done to the car.
Most of the cars were high end European types, but there
were two mustangs there, an 05 GT and an 07 Shelby. Both
came by at lunch to commiserate w/ me about how they could
only run 3 or 4 laps before they were getting spooked by
brake fade. I told them I wasn't having any problems &
pointed at my front wheels. That pretty much ended that
conversation.
Thanks again for your professionalism in getting the kit to
me so quickly, and your help in sorting the couple tech
issues I had( especially not calling me a moron when I
didn't bleed the master! ). I keep telling everyone who asks
me where I got them about your web-site.

I purchased the C5 brake kit
with the Z06 calipers and Hawk HPS pads and the cross
drilled and slotted rotors. I looked at every kit available
for the 3rd gen camaro and the kit offered here was cheaper
and of the same quality and performance as all the other
kits on the market. From the time I ordered the kit it took
less then a week for me to get the kit. As the kit was being
assembled I received progress photos which I thought was
cool. This is a very easy bolt on kit. It might have took
about an hour to do both sides. These brakes made such a
HUGE improvement over the stock brakes in looks and
performance. I had several questions about the kit before I
received them and Scott was there to help me every time no
matter how simple the questions were. You will not get that
kind of respect and courtesy from any place else!

I finally got back from deployment
and the second thing that I did was install the LS1 brakes on
my thirdgen. You know what the first was. :) The
brakes perform as well as they look

Hi Scott,
I received your brake package on Thursday
and installed it on Saturday. Installation was a
breeze and I had no problems with them going on. It took
about an hour a side. They look amazing under there and they
work a million times better than the stock set up.
Here is a picture of the car with them
installed and one of the wheel with the brakes underneath. I
am very pleased with the new look and feel of the
car. Thanks for all of your support in this!

Hi Scott,
After nearly two years with your LS1-kit I still think that
this was the best upgrade I've done so far on my Camaro.
Stopping power from Autobahn-speeds is really increased and
also the all around performance is a pleasure!
And last but not least they look a whole lot better than the
stock ones... ;-)

Scott,
After a full season of track
days, this kit is the single best investment that has been put
on the car. Bang for buck the performance is phenomenal. The
feel is incredible and response is light-years ahead of what
came with the car. The feedback from others is amazing as
well, they can't believe that I was able to fit Corvette
brakes on a firebird. Installation was incredibly easy
and took only a part of a day. The instructions and
ready-to-go nature of this kit make it a must for any F-body
enthusiast. I hope you make a kit for the real because
I'd buy it in an instant.

for upgraded brakes for my 86 IROC for years. Baer was
too expensive, Wilwood and SSBC weren't much better.
Then I found Scott's LS1 upgrade kit for less than half the
price. Talk about a night
and day difference. I used to be able to stand on my stock
brakes with both feet and still not lock up the front brakes.
Adding those large binders and 12" rotors really made a
difference. I was so happy with the LS1 brakes, I
upgraded again to the Z06 with slotted and cross-drilled
rotors with ceramic pads. Now I even have better brake
pedal "feel". Only light pressure is needed to slow the
car down in normal driving, and when I am at the drag-strip,
106mph - zero never felt this smooth!

Hey Scott:
Hope everything is going good with you. I just wanted to let
you know (one year review of the brakes). The whole system
is awesome. Its still gripping perfectly. I have to say I
got used to this kit :). I only realized how good the
braking was when I drove someone else's Camaro recently and
drove mine after that. Wow, it felt so different. They bite
real hard.
Attached is a pic after one year and a couple of
months . I don't know if anyone else sent a review
after a year :)
